Ingredients:

  • 1.5 kg of prime rib roast
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh rosemary, chopped

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Oven
  • Roasting pan
  • Meat thermometer
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 220°C (450°F).
  • Rub the prime rib roast with olive oil, ensuring it's evenly coated.
  • In a small bowl, mix minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and chopped rosemary. Rub this mixture all over the roast.
  • Place the roast in a roasting pan, bone side down.
  • Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the roast and place it in the preheated oven.
  • Roast for approximately 15-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 50-52°C (120-125°F) for medium-rare.
  • Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
